Marketing Automation Strategist ECENTA Digital - Phoenix, AZ

We are the digital marketing and commerce strategy practice for ECENTA, a global and award-winning technology systems integrator that for more than 18 years has designed and implemented SAP and SAP Customer Experience solutions.

We are currently searching for an experienced Marketing Automation Strategist. To be successful in this exciting role, you must have extensive digital marketing and marketing automation (Marketo, Eloqua, Hybris) experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively consult with clients and prospects to develop strategies, marketing templates, lead scoring, progressive profiling, nurture and email marketing campaigns with the ultimate goal to increase response rates, engagement, drive measurable pipeline and create meaningful client experiences.
  • Work with Business Development to prepare and support sales pursuits.
  • Be client-facing on calls and meetings and become a trusted advisor and resource for clients.
  • Support ECENTA’s technical team on SAP Marketing Cloud implementations.
  • Ability to work with data, including data management and segmentation.
  • Review results and recommend optimizations to continually improve performance.
  • Continuously evaluate and suggest process improvements to expedite production.
  • Maintain and optimize lead scoring programs.
  • Build nurture engagement program workflows.
  • Create and maintain accurate and complete process documentation.
  • Develop and maintain training materials and provide training on an on-going basis to ensure client satisfaction and performance.
  • Create accurate work estimates for digital strategy deliverables.
  • Able to manage expectations of client and internal team.
  • Be a marketing automation expert.
  • Share industry knowledge across the team and relay best practices to clients.
  • Be metrics driven and provide reporting and analysis of program level performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on marketing automation experience.
  • Extensive experience with Marketo, Eloqua or Hybris Marketing.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML or other creative software
  • Knowledge of personalized and contextual marketing and how marketing and technology integrate to improve and optimize the customer experience.
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks of varying duration, difficulty and complexity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strategic and pragmatic thought process with a strong work ethic.
  • A highly collaborative work style with the ability to work and manage in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Curiosity and a desire to continue learning.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
  • Must be able to manage remote locations. Some travel required.
