ECENTA Gives Back

As a global company with ambitious goals for both our customers and ourselves, ECENTA is also socially responsible. We focus on projects that support children and young adults to further a joy of discovery, creativity, and team spirit.

St Mary's Food Bank

St Mary's Food Bank serves to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency, collaboration, advocacy and education. Members of the ECENTA Digital team volunteered working with other organizations. We helped assemble thousands of emergency food boxes for needy families in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

Kinderhospiz Sterntaler e.V.

The Kinderhospiz Sterntaler association in Mannheim supports seriously ill children, adolescents and young adults, by providing, among other things, individual support for dying and grieving. At a time when most people turn away, the children's hospice is the only inpatient facility of its kind in the Rhine-Neckar region to date offering invaluable services for the children and their parents. That is why ECENTA decided to annually donate to the Sterntaler hospice rather than giving out Christmas presents to customers and associates. Human dignity is sacred. To help ensure that this also applies to children suffering from terminal illnesses, they need our help.

Camp Craig Allen

In Frisco, Texas, Camp Craig Allen takes a stand for the unheeded physically handicapped children, adults, and veterans of North Texas.

With sports programs such as wheelchair hockey or water skiing, people with physical disabilities can test and expand their range of abilities despite their disabilities. The camp offers a protected and carefree surrounding in which the attendees can unfold. In addition to financial support, our local ECENTA colleagues are involved as volunteers in the annual amateur BBQ cook-offs. These fundraising events play an important role in raising money for the privately financed camp and attract a huge audience.

Lystrup Fodbold, LIF

Lystrup is a charming little Danish town near Aarhaus on the Jutland peninsula. One of its main attractions is certainly the local sports center LIF, where a U12 youth football team trains among many other athletes.

ECENTA has sponsored new training wear for the youth team. As a company, team spirit is important to us on a small and large scale. That is why we promote young talent in both mass and elite sports. We firmly believe that sport is an important element of personal development.

Die Schlümpfe e.V.

The Munich-based association "Die Schlümpfe e. V." is committed to accompanying children aged 1 to 3 on their journey to conquer the world. As a small institution focused on one group of children, the day care center provides educational support with and for parents in a family-like atmosphere. In many respects, early childhood care sets the course for development. This is why the teachers here focus intensively and individually with each child. Since the facility is dependent on public subsidies and private donations, ECENTA contributed financially to the renovation of the sleep area and the purchase of educational material and toys in 2017.

Fans Across America™

The Fans Across America™ Charitable Foundation (FANS) is a Chandler, Arizona based vital resource in the continuum of service to Homeless Students, Homeless Families in Transition, Victims and Children of Domestic Violence. Families referred to FANS have little or no financial resources for everyday essentials such as clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, personal / dental hygiene items, basic household needs, diapers, school supplies, backpacks, and other items of daily living necessities. FANS is a cornerstone organization in the community that helps fill the gaps for these essential resources. ECENTA commits time and resources to FANS to help them continue to fulfill their mission in the community.

JANO Filder

The youth handball academy Neuhausen/Ostfildern JANO offers talented young players in the Stuttgart region top-notch handball training. With a team of over 60 coaches, children and young adults in the U6 to U19 age groups are trained here daily in six handball halls available for this purpose. For us at ECENTA, it is important to not only encourage young people to participate in sports, but to also enable them to make the most of their potential. Even if sometimes only balls or team shirts are missing, we like to get involved in regional, national, or international talent promotion.

ELS for Autism

The ELS Autism Foundation of Canada aims to help people with autism reach their full potential. The foundation is planning a digital e-learning platform that will provide children around the world with access to the best educational and therapeutic opportunities. An additional 300 students can be taught on the 26-hectare campus of the ELS Center for Excellence in Florida. Medical and professional services are offered as well as support during the transition into adulthood. As a world-class golf professional, ELS founder Ernie Els contributed $6 million (US) to the foundation. However, the foundation's goal requires nearly $30 million (US). In addition to SAP, ECENTA also participates in reaching this goal.

Public Open Air Swimming Pool Wiesloch

Closures due to sparse public funds are a permanent threat to family and open-air swimming pools. The beautifully situated open-air swimming pool in Wiesloch was also on the brink of closure. Thanks to the committed support organization, to which ECENTA has contributed for years, the pool was renovated and reopened. Today it features a 50-meter Olympic pool among old trees and generous open spaces. The extensive recreational opportunities the facility offers to swimmers of all ages are impressive. The WieTalBad has developed into one of the most popular local leisure facilities – and we are proud to have contributed to its success in the community.
