Examining the infrastructure: We examine the configuration of your server, clients and networks and target weak points. SQL protocols, storage utilization, network load, hard disk access, transmission rates, etc. are evaluated. All of this is conducted without modifying the database.
Optimizing the database: After exhausting all of the possibilities offered by infrastructure tuning, we progress to database optimization. The configuration of your application, including all customer-specific upgrades and modifications, is examined in detail. We use this information to determine targeted modifications for the database (indices, distributed tables, etc.).
Upgrading the application: Ultimately, if all of the possibilities offered on the infrastructure and database levels do not yield results, we begin with the most complex optimization area. We survey the coding working on the problem areas and suggest upgrades (independent of release) or, only if necessary, modifications.
